We were very tempted to sail with our friends from Nairn through the Caledonian Canal to the Scotish Westcoast. Sailing these difficult waters in company and protection of a big fleet would have been a good start. But it was not on our way to Norway, and we heard that Orkney was nice as well. Scotland: Nairn is my castle.

My boat is my home. My home is my castle. Nairn welcomed me, in a special way. Put me in quarantaine for 10 days. Rules are rules, even if everybody was sorry about it. And everybody was so nice and welcoming. Everybody crossing asked if I need something, if they can bring me something. The local grocery shop delivered two boxes of food, chosen with care, and collected from other shops what they didn't have themselves. I had a very nice time,...
